We are pleased and excited to invite you to participate in the 12th Annual GMIS Illinois Annual Networking and Training Symposium - GIANTS. This year the conference will begin on Sunday evening, November 11, with a Welcome Reception and concludes Wednesday at noon following our keynote presentation.
As in past years you will have ample opportunities to network with your colleagues and visit with state of the art IT vendors.
We know public sector budgets are stretched, and with that in mind, this year’s conference affords you numerous cost effective options for attending. Here are several ideas to minimize the cost of attending this year’s conference:

First time attendees and members of GMIS Illinois can apply for a $250 Scholarship to cover the conference registration or apply to housing costs.
- Bring two or more people from your agency. First registration is $250, second and subsequent registrations are only $200 each.
- Share a Ride with someone – Split or incur no travel cost – Indicate your interest at online registration and we will facilitate! Just check the boxes during ONLINE REGISTRATION.
- Share conference housing to reduce the rooming cost – sharing a resort room can cost as little as $203 for three nights. Read this PDF summary of the benefits of sharing. Just check the boxes on the second page of ONLINE REGISTRATION to indicate your interest.
- Sign up for a One Day Registration for only $100, eliminating the rooming cost entirely. For just $100 you get five educational sessions, continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks. On Tuesday, you can also participate in the Vendor Appreciation Reception.
*Any GMIS Illinois regular member who attended the full GMIS International Conference in Chicago is entitled to a registration scholarship for one full GIANTS conference registration. Only ONE scholarship per person, subject to verification.
