The new position of Information Technology (IT) Officer will provide a leadership role in all IT responsibilities including initiatives for growth and development. Will be responsible for the application and use of technology in all aspects of the District’s business operations and communication including but not limited to networks, telecommunication systems, email, internet connectivity and Geographic Information Systems. Will utilize superior communication and leadership skills to communicate complex technical issues in a simple and understandable manner across all departments, and where appropriate, present that information to Committees and the Board for approval. This position will analyze operational processes, and make recommendations and implement innovative, costeffective technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the process, product, service delivery and overall operation of the District.
